Feast of St. John Lateran

Today we had what I considered an interesting alignment of liturgy and current events...

the second reading for today's Feast day is from the First Letter to the Corinthians, and says,

"Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dewlls in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God, which you are , is holy."

In light of the partial-birth abortion discussions in SCOTUS, I find this particularly relevant.
